There are encouraging signs that the hole in the ozone layer is "healing", but if it doesn't heal fast enough, we all might have to wear more outdoor protection.
Explanation:
The UN Montreal Protocol was signed in 1987 and essentially ordered the phasing out of ozone depleting chemicals. There are signs that the hole might heal in the next 50 years.
If it doesn't heal as expected, people in the Southern Hemisphere (like Australia, New Zealand) would be at the most risk. Staying indoors more, wearing higher SPF sunscreen when outdoors, clothing that covers all the skin would be preventative measures.
