What is Mayer's formula ?

The difference between the specific heat of a gas at constant pressure(c_p) and its specific heat at constant(c_v) volume is equal to the universal gas constant(R) divided by the molecular weight(M) of the gas. i.e. c_p-c_v=R/M.This relation is known
as Mayer's formula
