In one molecule of cadmium nitrate there are two atoms of nitrogen.
(work out the brackets, as in maths, and it'll be CdN2O6)

Explanation:

So in one mole of cadmium nitrate there are two moles of nitrogen.
The mass the nitrogen is thus 2×14.01=28.02g
