150 adult tickets and 300 student tickets.

Let N be the number of adult tickets sold..
Then, the number of student tickets sold is 2N
So, N(5$) + 2N(3$ )= 1650$.
11N$ = 1650$.
N = 150.
Of course, (175, 275) is also a positive-integer solution that does not satisfy the given condition that the second number is twice the first.
