Cross multiplication:

#a/b = c/d#

#(a*d)=(b*c)#

So:

#10(3) = 4(p + 2)#

Distribute the numbers over the parenthesis

#30 = 4p + 8#

Solve for #p#

#22 = 4p#

#p = 22/4#
