The features found in most molluscs is that they are unsegmented and bilaterally symmetrical.
Explanation:
The phylum molluscs has developed a varied range of body structure and therefore it is difficult to find defining characteristics to apply to all groups .
However The following are common to most modern groups...
1. The dorsal part of the body wall is a mantle or pallium, which secretes calcareous spicules, plates or shells. It overlaps the body with enough space for a mantle cavity.
2. There is a soft visceral mass and there are gills for respiration.
3. The anus and genitals open into the mantle cavity.
4. There are two pairs of main nerve cords.
