Why is the muscle of the left ventricle thicker than the muscle of the right ventricle?

This is due to fact that there is a much higher needed force to push the blood out of the heart to the systemic circulation

Think about it. Why would the left ventricle be more muscular than the right? There has to be some reason, right? The left ventricle has the job of pumping out blood to the systemic circulation, that is, to the rest of the body where oxygen is needed, whereas the right ventricle pumps blood out to the pulmonary artery to go to the lungs.
There has to be more muscle in the left ventricle to generate the force needed to travel such long distances all over the body, meaning there is more work involved here.
