Most of Australia consists of a warm desert climate.

A warm desert climate, also called a hot desert climate, is a climate where rainfall is generally less than 27 millimeters (1 inch), and summer temperatures frequently exceed 40 Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

In warm desert climates winter temperatures hover around 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), summer temperatures can be well above 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit).
