g = 12 Remove the parenthesis, combine like terms and work backwards to solve. PE SADM

Explanation:

In solving for something that is lost like an unknown it always helps to work backwards.

think if you discover you have lost your cell phone when getting dressed after PE you start to work backwards where was I last.

In this problem first remove the parenthesis as there are no coefficients besides the understood + l this is easy

3g -4 + 4g + 10 = 90

Use the communicative property to combine like terms.

3g + 4g + ( -4 + 10 = 90

7g + 6 = 90 Subtract 6 from both sides working backwards.

7g + 6 -6 = 90 = 6

7g = 84 divide 7 from both sides working backwards

#7xx g/7 = 84/7#

g = 12
