Why house lights in parallel are better than lights in series?

IN parallel each light gets supply voltage.
Explanation:
in PARALLEL if one bulb get fused or blown out other bulbs will glow as usual.But in series if one bulb goes fused all lights will not get supply and will stop glowing.
iN SERIES EACH BULB WILL NOT GET SUPPLY VOLTAGE SO THEY WILL GLOW VERY DIM.
