All types of waves can resonate if they are reflected from the boundaries of their medium.

Explanation:

On a violin string one observes transverse waves. These travel up and down the length of the string as a displacement from side to side.

In a tuba compression waves travel back and forth along the tube. The frequency of the wave depends on the length of the tube (which can be changed with the valves).

Torsional waves, like those observed in the collapse of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, can resonate.

In a laser (Light Amplification through Stimulated Emission Resonance) electromagnetic waves (photons, or light) pass by atoms in the laser material and cause those atoms to emit light of the same wavelength.
