Explanation:
Prologue is the chapter before the actual story. It introduces main characters, tells something about the world described in the novel.
Epilogue is located at the end of the story and it tells what happened after the main plot has finished.
An example of the novel with epilogue is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". The epilogue tells what happened 19 years after the main plot finished and also tells that the situation which happened in the novel does not occur any more (Harry's scar has not been painful for those 19 years)
