Explanation:
An atom can have several isotopes. Isotopes have same atomic and electron number, but have a different neutron number.
For example, carbon 12
The isotopes are carbon 12,13,14.
Carbon 12 has 6 electrons, 6 protons and 6 neutrons.
Carbon 13 has 6 electrons, 6 protons and 7 neutrons
Carbon 14 has 6 electrons, 6 protons and 8 neutrons..
