FInd the prime factors:

They have common factor of 2.
Remember 1 is a factor of every number as well but it is not prime.

If you are only considering positive integers, then their common factors are:

If you are considering all integers, then their common factors are:

#1#, #-1#, #2#, #-2#

If you are considering rational numbers, then they have any non-zero rational number as a common factor...

For example, #4# and #6# are both divisible by #7/5# in the sense that:

#4 = 7/5 * 20/7#

#6 = 7/5 * 30/7#
