Explanation:

Bring all numbers to one side, and the variables to the other by

(Note that there are two ways to do this)

  1. Add 3 to both sides to bring all numbers to the right:

rarr 3n = 4n + 4

Subtract 4n on both sides to bring all variables to the left:

rarr -1n = 4

And since n is a negative, you want to make it a positive by either multiplying or dividing by -1

rarr n = -4

  1. Subtract 3n on both sides to bring all variables to the right:

rarr -3 = n +1

And then subtract 1 on both sides to bring all numbers to the left -

rarr -4 = n
