The entropy of the system is the level of disorder in the system.
In a closed system the level of disorder always increases.

Explanation:

When a substance goes from a liquid to a gas the level of entropy increases as their is more disorder in the gas.

If the observable universe is a closed system the level of entropy or disorder will increase until there is no matter or useable energy left.
