Of course. You can see clear evidence of many copper compounds that have been synthesized. #"CuCl"#, #"CuCl"_2#, #"Cu"("OH")_2#, #"CuO"#, #"Cu"_2"O"#, . . . etc. Hence, copper is reactive.

It is a #d^10# metal with one #4s# electron. Thus, it can react to form compounds involving #"Cu"("I")# or #"Cu"("II")# as the most common cations of copper.
