I would say #8.2xx0.5#

Explanation:

This is because I can imagine to write them as:
#8.5xx15/1000=(8.5xx15)/1000#
and
#8.5xx1/2=(8.5xx1)/2#
I can see that even if the first is multiplied by #15# it is also divided by #1000# making it smaller than the second.
