#10-6+2=6#. See explanation.

Explanation:

To remember the correct order of operations acronym PEDMAS can be used.

The letters represent different operations. The order of letters represents the order of operations. Those operations can be grouped as:

  • P - parenethesis; first thing you should do is any operation inside parenethesis.

  • E - exponents; if there are no parenethesis you should calculate all operations including exponents (powers).

  • D and M - division and multiplication; those 2 operations can be done in any order (usually they are done from left to right)

  • A and S - addition and subtraction; also those 2 operations can be done in any order.

In the given example only addition and subtraction appear, so they can be done in any order. If you do it from left to right you get:

#10-6+2=(10-6)+2=4+2# - first I calculated subtraction because it appears firsy on the left side.

#4+2=6# - next I calculated the only operation left - addition. The final result is #6#
