One of the many results of Columbus' coming to the New World was the Columbian exchange.
Explanation:
Because of Columbus plants and agricultural produce from the New World came to Europe and the Old World. Maize became the principle food source of Bantu Africa so when European explorers reached south Africa Maize had reached there before them.
Animals from Europe also reached the New World. Chickens, Pigs, Cows and Horses changed the economy and culture of the New World.
Sadly diseases also were exchanged between the two worlds. The people of the new world suffered greatly from the diseases that came from Europeans.
