A number of agreements between Egypt and Israel that led to a Peace Treaty. The Peace Treaty was signed in March 1979
Explanation:
Sadat visited Israel in 1977 and started the Peace process. President Jimmy Carter brokered the Peace process at Camp David in 1978.
The Peace Treaty is one of the very few advancements to Peace in the Middle East. Much of the credit goes to Anwar Sadat who paid for it with his life.
Jordan later signed a Peace Treaty with Israel.
Much of this progress was due to to Egypt's good performance during the Yom Kippur War of 1973 and Sadat's leadership.
