Well, since we are in the Chemistry section, electrons, protons, and neutrons are the smallest fundamental particles.

Explanation:

All of chemistry can be rationalized on the basis of these fundamental particles, 2 of which are electrically charged (which ones?).

Of course, ask a #"nucular physicist"#, and the answer might be different.

Your question is posted in chemistry and it needs to be posted in physics. Quarks are the smallest particles we know . Many quarks make up one electron, proton and neutron. But if we refer to chemistry electron is the smaller both than proton and neutron.
