Mammals teeth have adapted to better process the foods in their diet.
Explanation:
If you look at the teeth of cows or horses (herbivores) you will see that they have adapted to be flat and well fitted to grinding plant matter.
If you look at the teeth of wolves or lions (carnivores) you will see that they have adapted to be sharp and well fitted to tearing meat.
As omnivores, humans have a set of teeth adapted for eating both plants and animals. Only sharp teeth wouldn't be very good at breaking down tough plant matter, and only flat teeth wouldn't be very good at ripping meat.
