Pearl Harbor occurred on Dec 7th in 1941 at a time when U.S Congress was still imbued with isolationis. The attack fulfilled FDR ambition of joining WWII on the side of Great Britain.
Pearl Harbor was clearly the end of Isolationism, after WWII the Cold War followed and most people and politicians supported military intervention abroad especially to thwart the spread of communism. Some exceptions remained though, such as Robert Taft in the fifties and Ron Paul later.
