If you mix just those two, the colour won't change.

What you will see is bubbles of carbondioxide escaping:

#Na_2CO_3 + 2HCl->2NaCl+CO_2+H_2O#

Or, in ion form:

#CO_3^(2-)(aq)+2H^+(aq) ->CO_2 (g)+H_2O(l)#

Note:
If you had added an indicator, like phenolphtalein, the colour of the solution would be pink/purple, and vanish as the acid is added.
