Explanation:

Distributive Property: given #a(v+z)# distribute to #a(v)+a(z)#
#a=4x#, #v=-5x#, #z=-9#
#\therefore 4x(-5x-9)=4x(-5x)+4x(-9)#
#=-20x^2-36x#
