Question #c13bd
1 Answer
Water content.
Sunlight energy levels.
Soil including, density, rock formations, minerals, nutrients.
Weather including precipitation, wind, temperature.
Explanation:
Abiotic factors are all aspects of the biome that are non-living.
With most life on Earth this of course begins with Water. We must look at the water availability within the forest including standing water, ponds and lakes, running water rivers and streams as well as water in the soil and water in the atmosphere.
Next for a forest we would look at the Earth's energy source and the sunlight available for photosynthesis at varying levels of the biome from the canopy down to the ground.
We would also look at the Soil which would include the density and types of rock sedimentation as well as the minerals and nutrients including the water table.
We must also consider the aspects of Weather that have an effect on the Forest including precipitation, wind, temperature and the patterns involved.
