Ferdinand was an acceptable suitor and Miranda could marry and have a family.

In the age where family and marriage to a suitable man was considered the height of female achievement this was a great potential future for Miranda after her isolation on the Island.

As well Shakespeare is allowed to explore the love story between Ferdinand and Miranda as entertainment.
