Plants use CO_2 in night in light independent cycle, thus plants do not exhale CO_2.

Explanation:

Plants have two step mechanism to use atmospheric CO_2 as a source of nutrition.
1. Light dependent mechanism or hill's reaction or light reaction
2. Light-independent mechanism or dark reaction or Calvin cycle

Stomata is required by plants to Exchange gases and water vapors during day time. In Night time gaseous and water vapors exchanges are not required and have to be limited. Due to these factors Stomatas close and inhibits any such exchanges.

Point to note: Not all Stomata close at night few numbers, which is negligible compared to whole number on a plants leaf, remains open at night too.
