Predator-prey interaction

Explanation:

Predators respond numerically to changing prey density. In natüre, everything is a dependent. Predators depend on prey. If prey is in good quantity, predators are in a good condition. Stable ecosystems contain both predators and preys in optimum amounts. Otherwise, natural balance worsens.

Per capita rate of predation (the number of prey eaten during a given period of search time, #T_s#) can be expressed with:

#N_e#=#(c*N_(prey))*T_s#

where,
c is efficiency of predation
#N_(prey)# is density of prey
and #T_s# is period of search time.
