Generally, blue stars are more massive compared to red stars but the relationship between color and mass in stars is weak.

Explanation:

The color of a star depends on its surface temperature since stars act as near perfect black bodies.

The bluer a star is, the hotter it is and the redder it is, the colder it is. And more massive stars have higher temperatures hence bluer stars tend to be more massive and hotter.

But the stage of the star in its life cycle and the presence of nearby companion stars also play a role.
