I'm writing a poem for homework about music, specifically the drumline. What is a line that would relate to music that uses assonance?

Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds within words that start with different consonants, within the same line of a poem, or close to each other when in prose.

Explanation:

The following is an example of assonance written by a drummer.
The words of interest are in italics:

Our drum sticks click on the tin of our rims
Then share the beat of our snares in pairs
Beckoning the tenors to envelope our sound
The bass bangs out cadence; steady, alive.
We march past the judges on stairs in the square.
