This is not a vertical expansion because the 20 was not touched. We can however, horizontally compress this function.

#5/0.8 = 6.25# this is to find the stretch value after getting squared (#y=-0.8(6.25t^2)+20#)

#sqrt(6.25) = 2.5# this is to find the stretch value before getting squared ( #y=-0.8(2.5t)^2 +20#)

So there was a horizontal compression by a factor of 2.5
