If you are talking about #|x-7|=0# then the answers would be just 7.
But if you are talking about something like #|x-7|=1# then the answer would be #x=6# and #x=8#

Because absolute value means distance from 0. If #x=8# then #8-7=1# and if #x=6# then #|6-7|=1# because if the total number of inside absolute value is negative, then you have to make it positive (invert the sign).
