We know the perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + width) units.

Here, L = 2X+3 & W= 2X-4, Hence, 78 = 2[(2x+3) +(2x-4)]

#rArr 78 = 2[2x+3+2x-4]#

#rArr 78 = 2[4x-1]#

#rArr 78 = 8x-2#

#rArr 8x = 80 or, x =10#

Length = 2x-3 = 2.10-3 = 17
width = 2x-4 =2.10-4 = 16
