You will have to dilute 10 times.

Explanation:

Take a 1 liter measuring flask and fill it with about 850 mL of water. Then slowly add 100 mL of the 5M solution (not the other way around!)
Finally, when everything has cooled down, add water up to the 1 L mark.

Note: adding a bit of water to such a strong solution of acid will give heat effects like boiling. That's why you always add the acid to the water.
