When did Christianity start?

About 36 CE after the Crucifixion of Christ, the Apostles and Jesus's relatives began to spread Christian teachings.

Explanation:

I'm picking the Crucifixion of Christ, Resurrection and Ascension as a starting point because it is theologically important and Pontius Pilate's Governorship of Palestine is a confirmable date. (26 to 36 CE).

Christianity spread slowly early on and was persecuted greatly after 100 CE.

It was not firmly established until the Roman Emperor Constantine,s "Edict of Milan" in 313 CE. There are only 2 relatively solid dates in Jesus's life. His baptism by John the Baptist (some time before 28 to 35 CE) and his Crucifixion.

The 7 to 10 year approximation is pretty good considering the passage of time.
