Explanation:
Let the larger number is x and smaller number is y.
As per question, x = 2y - 10 or, x - 2y = - 10 ...............(i)
& x+ y = 38 ............. (ii
solving eqn (i) and eqn (ii), we get y = 16 and x = 22.
Hence two numbers are 22 and 16.
