Explanation:
You can divide regions into a bunch of groups based an certain criteria. Like language, religion, celebrations, etc. But people tend to base a region based on race, religion, and language. America is kind of out of the equation because of our diversity based on how this country was founded. But countries like Serbia, there was a war in the 90's over the Christians and the Muslims that lived in the area. The army targeted Muslims and Croats and killed thousands of them. They viewed themselves as different even though they were part of the same country. So the big 3 are race, religion, and language.
