To increase the cost of the iPad by 8% multiply the Purchase price by 1.08.

#650*1.08=702#

#therefore# the total price is $702

If there is an increase of #8%# then it is increased in the total i.e. #100/100#
so the increase can be said as
#$650 xx 108/100#
#=$702#
