pull out the constants, so

3 d/dy [cosy] - 4 d/dy [1/siny]

do the reciprocal rule for d/dy[1/siny]

3(-sin(y))-4* (d/dy [siny])/sin^2(y)

3(-sin(y)) - (4cos(y))/sin^2(x)

reciprocal rule formula

for any function of 1/f(x)

derive by [1/f(x)]' = (f'(x))/f(x)^2
