If the area of circle is equivalent to that of rectangle , then #r = 7 cm#

If the perimeter of rectangle is equivalent to that of the circle, then # r= 7.9545 cm#

Area of rectangle = length x width = #14 cm xx 11 cm = 154 cm^2#
and
Perimeter of rectangle will be = #2(14+11) cm = 50 cm#

Now if the area of circle is equivalent to that of rectangle , then:

#pi r^2 = 154 cm^2#

#=> 22/7 xx r^2 = 154 cm^2#

#=> r^2 = (154xx7)/22 cm^2#

#=> r^2 = 1078/22 = 49cm^2#

#therefore r = sqrt (49cm^2)#

#therefore r = 7 cm #

If the perimeter of rectangle is equivalent to that of the circle, then:

# 2pi xx r = 50 cm#

#=> 2xx 22/7 xx r = 50 cm#

#=>r =( 50xx 7 )/ (22xx2) cm#

# r = 350/44 cm#

#therefore r ~~ 7.954545#cm
