We have two factors of A that is A= -2 and 7.

Explanation:

Given,

#A^2=5*A+14#
i.e #A^2-5*A-14=0#

Now search for two such numbers which when added gives the
sum = -5 and on multiplication gives product = -14.

Two such numbers are -7 and 2

Thus on factorising we have,

#A^2-7*A+2*A-14=0#
#A*(A-7)+2*(A-7)=0#
#(A+2)*(A-7)=0#

Therefore, either (A+2)=0 or(A-7)=0

A= -2 or 7
