Glomerulus is a tuft of capillaries enclosed within Bowman's capsule; latter is initial part of nephron.
Explanation:
Kidney is made of millions of nephrons, also called uriniferous tubules. The nephrons are designed for filtration of blood to remove unnecessary substances.
The glomerulus of the nephron filters the blood and produces glomerular filtrate.
The Bowman's capsule collects the filtrate and passes it to next parts of the nephron, namely the proximal tubule, the loop of Henley and the distal tubule. The filtrate is processed in the tubules finally to form urine.
