I happened to be showing the ‘map’ of Socratic answered questions to my daughter this evening (she wasn’t impressed... nothing Dad does is cool anymore) and we noticed Kendal in the UK is spelt “Kendall”. Can this be changed?

I'd say yes.

then I'd say yes, the team can change the name of the city from Kendall to Kendal.
However, I can't give you a deadline for the change. At this point, I can't say whether or not the team will prioritize this change. If I were to guess, I'd say that they'll make the change at some point in the next months, but that's just my take on it.
Anyway, thanks for reporting! I'll let you know if/when the team makes the change.
