Subject, verb, punctuation, and an idea!

Explanation:

Traditionally (and "correctly" as some teacher would put it), a sentence contains a noun (subject) and a verb (predicate). To further the purpose of the sentence, correct punctuation is always vital. Punctuation can include endings for sentences: period (.), exclamation point (!), or question mark (?). In the middle of a sentence, you can utilize several different punctuation marks such as the comma (,) and the apostrophe ('), but there are so many more out there!

A sentence (depending if the sentence has more than one independent clause) can express an idea. One coherent thought, or more if they are joined by a conjunction, gives the sentence purpose.
