Answer below.

Explanation:

There is one analogy from the 1994 film Forrest Gump :

"Life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get!"

This analogy means that there are many surprises (and flavors) in life and you may never know what you're going to end up with.

Sometimes you see them on elementary English tests like this:

Scientist : Einstein :: Composer : Mozart

In literature, there are many other popular analogies. An analogy is defined as a comparison between two things. Metaphors and similes are similar to analogies, for they compare two things.

"Her beauty hangs upon the cheek of night,
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop’s ear."

This comes from Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet . "Her beauty" is like a "rich jewel." She is so indescribably beautiful.

“This flea is you and I, and this
Our marriage bed, and marriage temple is”

This comes from John Donne's poem The Flea . This analogy expresses how the flea sucked both of their bloods and, inside of it, they are together. Body and soul.

“The white mares of the moon rush along the sky
Beating their golden hoofs upon the glass Heavens.”

This comes from Amy Lowell's poem The Clouds . The white mares on the ground are compared to the clouds in the sky as the gallop the Heavens.
