On planets like Earth, Mars and Venus, volcanoes let the molten rock, gas and ash out. Reason for that is the materials which those planets are formed. Those planets are rocky planets . However not all planets in the universe are like them. There are also gas giants. Those planets and their moons may also have volcanoes. Volcanoes on such conditions let mostly the gas out instead of molten rock. Those volcanoes are called cryovolcano .
