Mean = 30.625
Median = 17.5

Explanation:

To find the mean you have to add all the numbers together and divide that number by how many numbers are there (there are 8 numbers)
120+60+0+30+15+0+0+20=245
245÷8=30.625

To find the median you have to arrange the numbers from smallest to largest. Then, cross one off each side until you reach the number in the middle!
0, 0, 0, 15, 20, 30, 60, 120
The middle numbers are 20 and 15
Add the two numbers and divide the sum by 2
(20+15) ÷ 2
(35)÷2
17.5

Mean = 30.625
Median = 17.5

The mean is 30 5/8 The median is 17 1/2

Explanation:

To find the mean which is the average add all the items and divide by the number of items

so 120 + 60 + 30 + 20 + 15 + 0 + 0 + 0 = 245

The mean = 245/8 = 30 5/8

The median is the middle number of the numbers. Line up the number is order and then find the middle.

120, 60, 30, 20, 15, 0, 0 , 0

There are 8 number so count and find the the fourth number from the highest and the lowest.

The fourth highest is 20 the fourth lowest is 15

The median is between 20 and 15

Add both 20 and 15 and divide by 2

(20 + 15)/2 = 17 1/2

If there were an odd number of items, the median would be the middle number.
