Alkadienes are really acyclic.
Explanation:
Just as there is a difference between an alkane and a cycloalkane, there is a difference between an alkadiene and a cycloalkadiene.
In an alkadiene, the double bonds must not be part of a ring.
In the picture above, all three compounds are dienes, but only the last one is an alkadiene.
